Rules

Crafting requirements

A craft can only start after every requirement is valid. The server checks the player, current ship, recipe, module, AP, ingredients, skill, and cargo space.

  • The current ship must be alive and must equip a craft module.
  • The craft module allowed tier must be at least the recipe tier.
  • If the recipe has a skill, the required skill level is tier x 10 for tier 2 and above.
  • Ingredients are consumed when the job is accepted, not when it completes.
  • Cargo space must be available for the future output, including already reserved craft jobs.

Resource, module, or ship.
Recipe categories
Materials, weaponry, defense, propulsion, science, and ship hulls.
Craft context
Current implementation resolves crafting from the ship context.

Craft queue and timing

Crafting is asynchronous. A valid start creates or reuses the active ship queue, adds a job, and then runs jobs in order.

  • AP cost is recipe AP cost multiplied by quantity.
  • Base duration is recipe duration multiplied by quantity.
  • Ship craft modules reduce duration by 5% per module tier, up to 95%.
  • Crafting skill reduces the remaining duration by up to 30%.
  • A completed job awards the configured output and can grant Crafting or recipe skill XP.
Queue order
One running job, then queued jobs by position.
XP difficulty
Based on recipe tier and how close the player is to the required level.
