Rules

Gathering targets

Gathering works on sector resources such as asteroids and stars. Each target can hold one or more resource entries with current and maximum quantities.

  • Opening a gathering target creates a short lock for the player using it.
  • The lock prevents another player from changing the same target at the same moment.
  • The target list is refreshed after extraction so the sector data stays consistent.
  • When no resource remains, the action returns the current state instead of spending more work.

A gathering module must be equipped.
AP cost
1 per gather action.

Yield formula

The final amount starts from the equipped gathering module roll. Mining level still tracks progression and XP, but it no longer multiplies yield.

  • Gathering modules define the base action yield: 1-15 at tier 1, then 15-point ranges up to 90-105 at tier 7.
  • Ship subtype gather bonuses apply after the module roll; GATHERER currently adds 20%.
  • Selective Harvest can target one scanned resource when the target has visible scan data.
  • Corporation sector income can reserve a share before the player receives the rest.
